Hard to believe it’s been a decade since The Avalanches released their sample-heavy and as-of-now only album Since I Left You. A few months after more rumors circulated that the group had finished work on a second album, now we have news that Australian label Modular Recordings is prepping a 10-year anniversary reissue of their highly-acclaimed debut. The album will be accompanied by a bonus disc of remixes from when the album was released as well as new reworkings from MF Doom, Canyons, Black Dice, and others. The reissue has no official release date as of yet.
Fans eager for a taste of what’s to come will be happy that Modular has also released a rare Sterolab remix of the title track “Since I Left You” on SoundCloud. It’s a vinyl rip, since apparently the original masters for the track have gone missing, but it’s still pretty incredible.
